Matt Ritter recently traded big law for the big stage. He graduated from the University Pennsylvania Law School and worked as a corporate lawyer at both Kirkland and Ellis and Mayer Brown before leaving the law to pursue comedy.
Matt recently sold his first television show, “Chained to My Ex” a documentary series which will be premiering on MSNBC, December 23rd! He recently hosted Sirius XM Raw Dog Radio. His standup has been featured on “Man Up Standup” on the Maverick channel, as well as CBS News, Fox News “On the Record”, Huffpo Live, MTV.com, ComedyTime TV, NBC Phoenix, NBC Toledo, Chicago 3 Media, The Lady Brain Show and Askmen.com. He performs regularly at the Hollywood Improv, the Comedy Store, Gotham Comedy club as well as at colleges, corporate events, casinos and Jewish organizations across the country. He is part of the successful standup troupe, Comedians-at-Law, which has spent the past year traveling around the country to law firms, bar associations, law schools and top comedy clubs and was featured in the ABA Journal.
He recently starred in a national Sears commercial and the creator, producer and star of the hit webseries about the law called “The Bottom Rung.” He is also a writer for Readers Digest, Crushable (a pop culture site), Bitter Lawyer (an insightful and engaging entertainment site for lawyers) and the Lawyerist (an advice column about being a lawyer/comedian).
